Short-term inflation rises to 11.97pc, PBS data shows
ISLAMABAD: Short-term inflation rose to 11.97 per cent year-on-year in the week ending Oct 8, driven largely by higher food prices , particularly wheat flour, according to official data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Friday. The Sensitive Price Index (SPI), which tracks short-term inflation, rose 0.57pc week-on-week, reflecting price fluctuations in both food and non-food items.
