Bahrain and France sign memorandum to advance civilian nuclear program Bahrain and France signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday regarding cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. During French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Manama, the agreement was signed alongside talks held with Bahraini king Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported. The memorandum centres around developing and maintaining the expertise and capabilities required for Bahrain’s civilian nuclear programme through specialised training initiatives.
