Containers placed in Peshawar after federal govt imposes emergency in KP

PESHAWAR: Shipping containers were placed around the city of Peshawar to block roads after the federal government imposed an emergency and governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday. The measures, imposed earlier, have been approved under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution, according to a statement by the President House. They were imposed following the president’s approval of the recommendations by the federal cabinet.
